GMS Electric was born in 2021 from a simple but powerful decision: Gene and Madelaine Stenulson were done feeling like numbers on a payroll. After years working for someone else, they took the leap — Gene leading the field work and Madelaine running the office — and built something they could call their own.

 

Neither of them came from a family of wealth or connections. What they had was work ethic, determination, and a belief that if you do right by people, the rest follows. Starting a business from scratch with that as your foundation isn't easy — but it's honest.

By 2024, GMS had grown enough to bring on a crew. And from day one, the standard was clear: every employee is treated like a person, not a resource. Because Gene and Madelaine remember exactly what it felt like to be on the other side of that.

 

That same mindset carries through to every job. The rule is simple — if we wouldn't want it done in our own home, we won't do it in yours. No shortcuts, no second-guessing the craft. Just quality work from people who actually care about what they leave behind.
